Chris Southam worked in the retail fashion business for many years, holding senior positions in marketing and HR. During her corporate career, she built a reputation for developing highly motivated teams, who were encouraged to succeed through the power of positive thinking, determination and the will to win.

In 2002 she chose to leave her main board position as catalogue Director for Otto UK, whose titles include Freemans, Grattan and Kaleidoscope, to pursue a career in the field of leadership development. Her passion to help people make the best of themselves led her to set up Chill out.uk.

She trained with Noble Manhattan, Europe's leader in the field of coaching, personal growth and corporate development, and also with the corporate arm of Colour Me Beautiful – Europe's leading image consultants. She is a Master of the Federation of Image Consultants and an Associate Consultant for MROI.

Chris is a graduate of Warwick University with post-graduate qualifications from the University of London and Ashridge Management College. She and her husband have four children and a busy and often hectic family life.
